For my master’s thesis, I made a garment for a friend that died. It is said that grief is love with nowhere to go. I tried to put that love into a dress.

I travelled to Ireland with the goal of reconnecting with my family’s roots, and unearthed the rituals lying there. Celtic myth tells the tale of banshee: a woman who screams into the night to warn a coming death.

This project was an ode to the banshee.
